SanDisk Has Announced the First 200GB Ultra
microSDXC UHS-I, Premium edition flash
memory card at MWC 2015

While the MWC2015 noticed slew of new smartphones
and tech wearables launches on its 1st days at
Barcelona, flash memory specialist SanDisk also joined
the fray and came up with its latest, Ultra microSDXC
UHS-I which will store a whopping 200 GB Storage Giant
that can meet the storage requirements of any of the
smartphones unveiled at MWC.

While the company announced a number of microSD
cards for the smartphone market, its 200 GB storage
giant created a new storage record for microSD family.

Replacing previous record holder from its family of
the 128GB microSDXC card it introduced last
year, SanDisk has increased storage capacity by 56%
within the same fingernail-sized form factor. Keeping
up with the demands of today’s mobile users, the new
card provides the freedom to capture, save and share
photos, videos and other files without worrying about
storage limitations.

“Ideal for Android smartphone and tablet
users, this Premium Edition microSD card
combines the world’s highest capacity and
blazingly fast transfer speed of up to
90MB/s to deliver premium performance.
At this transfer speed, consumers can
expect to move up to 1,200 photos per
minute.”

The 200GB memory giant will go on sale probably in
the second quarter of 2015 at around a price of
$399.99 with 10 years warranty.

Similar to its predecessor, the 200 GB microSDXC
UHS-I version is shock proof and waterproof, and
resistant to 40F to 185ºF (-40ºC to 85ºC)
temperature.
