Google has officially enabled 360-Degree Videos On YouTube which is supported by all major mobile and Web platforms.
YouTube videos will now be available in 360-Degrees. This new move will help Google to gain more attention for its video streaming platform Youtube. With recent change in algorithm of Facebook, it has caused many advertisers and video publishers to move on to Facebook, as the social networking giant started giving more reach to video content than image, text or link posts.
Google said in its official Youtube blog that publishers can shares incredible videos with their fans every second of the day, but what if they could share even more in that video? Like, sharing the entire moment that they are filming?
You could let viewers see the stage and the crowd of your concert, the sky and the ground as you wingsuit glide, or you could even have a choose-your-own-adventure video where people see a different story depending on where they look. Only you know what’s possible. That’s why today we are starting to support 360-degree video uploadson YouTube, to continue giving you all the best resources to connect with your viewers.
The big thing is that you wont need a virtual reality headset to watch 360-Degree Videos On YouTube, on web (chrome) you can scroll around the video with your mouse pointer like you did in Google maps to Zoom in or out. The mobile users can tilt their smartphones to adjust the view on offer just like you would do in a the real world for a better view.
